Parents who break rules

As a parent who wants to do the best for my child I have enrolled them in a charter school so that they can get therapies that they'll need.   The way our society does things makes it so that institutions provide these types of things for free for the citizens and since I have chosen to not make a lot of money this is the way I can get those therapies for my child.

My child also enjoys being out of the house and interacting with others.  To this end I have enrolled them in two afternoon classes at the center.  I park and walk up to get here each day because it helps with their physical needs as they don't walk much.  When I'm parked I watch parents pull out of the parking area and notice that many of them do not follow the posted signs that indicate what way they are allowed to turn.  They gun it out of the driveway to clear their car from on coming traffic.  This puts them, their children and the drivers of the other cars in jeopardy.

Since I know my kids watch me I know those kids are watching their parents and learning.  Learning that this is okay even when it isn't.

Here is a picture of the sign that says RIGHT TURN ONLY.

I have a thory that I call the "bubble gum theory".  If two people are walking down the street, both chewing gum and one of them spits their gum out right on the sidewalk their action has a consequence that will likely be negative.  The other person uses a napkin or holds the gum in their mouth until they can get to a trash can.  This person's actions tend to have positive actions.  Both people are equal in value but one thinks nothing about their actions and the other things their actions are positive.  This is a huge difference with people.  I believe the people who are turning against the signs and putting themselves in danger are the same people who spit their gum out.
